September Favourites Time!

How fast has September flown by?! and what a stressful month it has been! I'm back at university now for my final year of Adult Nursing and already the work is piling up!

I've been loving a really easy and quick base this month, after struggling to get up early for university it has to be quickly slapped on! The Rimmel Fresher Skin Foundation has helped me to do this. It's such a lightweight and blend-able foundation. I have the shade Ivory which matches perfectly to my skin tone. The foundation gives a really natural looking base and is more medium coverage. The only bad thing about this foundation is that it is just in a huge pot, so it's not that easy to control the amount you're getting onto your brush!

Another product I have been loving to give me a quick and natural base is the W7 Cover Stick. I purchased this at the Swindon Outlet Village for about £1.50, which is so cheap for the quality of the concealer! It blends like an absolute dream, it doesn't crease under my eyes and provides a medium coverage! This is now an absolute staple in my make up bag!

I've also been really liking the new Garnier Micellar oil-infused Cleansing Water. Another product I'm not allergic too! It's always a good day when I find a skin care product I'm not allergic too! This is such a good eye make up remover, it removes EVERYTHING.

Seeing as it's been such a stressful month (and summer) I've been trying to add little positives into my day to bring me back to the present, and keep me thankful. I've loved flicking through the 14,000 things to be happy about book. It's such a cute little book for pick me up's. It helps to remind me how many things there are to be happy about, and it's important to focus on the positive things in your life and not the negatives!

A fashion favourite this month has been a Ted Baker bow bracelet. I purchased this from the Swindon Designer Outlet Village and I absolutely love it! If you know me you will know I love anything with a bow on. Bows are so cute! This little bracelet goes with everything and adds a little something to an outfit. I love how it fits my tiny wrist perfectly on the tightest hole as well, bracelets are usually massive on my wrists!

Mac's Strobe Cream has been used in my base most days. It's such a quick way to add highlighter to your face. It gives a really natural glow and has no glitter in! I also like mixing this in with my foundation for an extra glowy base. You only need a very small amount of this making it great value for money!

I have also been loving Zoella's Sweet Inspirations Body Mist this month. I can't get enough of it! I absolutely love the scent. It smells like a French patisserie, with the smell being based on macaron's and vanilla. It's such a light fragrance and it really lasts a long time!

September Glossybox

This month's Glossybox probably had the best packaging so far, I loved the red design, it looked so classy!

I was pretty impressed with everything in this month's box and have tested it all! It came with four full size products, one mini size and one tester sample.

I have been in need of a new eyeliner pencil, I'm always losing them! This one by Rodial is worth £17! It's a really good quality pencil, it's easy to apply and the eyeliner stays put all day. It's great for blending to create a smoky eye look.

Another product in this month's box was The Organic Pharmacy Antioxidant Lip balm. I actually already have this one but I really do like it! It contains rose hip and pomegranate which are both rich in antioxidants which protect your lips from environmental damage. The balm doesn't feel sticky and has a lovely smell to it!

This months box came with a Hydro Face Mask that claimed to give 120 hours of hydration. It's a hydrogel mask that contains artificial moisturising factor, this causes the skin to retain moisture. The sheet mask came in two parts. I found the bottom half kept sliding off of my face a lot of the time. It stung slightly as well so I only kept the mask on for 5-10 mins. It did leave my skin feeling super soft after but I probably wouldn't recommend it for sensitive skin types! (above is me looking pretty terrifying in it...)

The Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat was also in this months box. This helped my nail varnish dry super quick and left my nails looking lovely and shiny! I'm on day two so far and I have no chips at the moment! This is really similar to the Seche Vite top coat.

The best thing out of the whole box was the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I love the wand, I find brush wands give so much more volume than plastic ones! This adds so much volume to my lashes, it lifts and lengthens them a bit too, really similar to the Benefit Rollerlash!

Another really good box this month!

Orlando Disney and Homeware Haul

I've already shared with you guys the make-up that I purchased in Orlando so I thought I would show you all the other bits I purchased in case you're interested!

Firstly, my favourite shop at Disney Springs was the Anthropologie, they sold some beautiful home ware pieces. I purchased the 'all things rosy' pencil case, the copper basket, 'A' glass and copper coaster from there. I love anything copper and rose gold so I had a little field day in there.

Target was another of my favourite stores in Orlando. I purchased the stationary items from there, including the copper binder clips!

At the Florida Mall I had a look in Bath and Body Works and picked up some of their hand sanitizers. I absolutely love the Stress Relief one and I wish I had picked up more and the matching hand cream! It has such a relaxing scent. I also picked up three of their mini candles as I wouldn't have been able to fit three big ones in my case home!

From all the Disney parks I did purchase a fair amount of goodies. My favourite thing is probably the Minnie Mouse Pandora charm, so cute! I also really like the Chip mug and Thumper!

While we were there I collected Pins from the parks and my favourite characters to put on a lanyard! I loved this idea and when I eventually go back I will get more!

I purchased an EOS shaving foam from Target as I haven't seen these in the UK, and some nail therapy pads from Anthropologie. I also found a bath bomb shop that was very similar to Lush at Disney Springs and purchased a few of their bath bombs!

I hope you guys enjoy this sort of post!:)

New Make-Up Tries

For this post I thought I would share a few new products I have recently been trying and loving. When the new Tanya Burr Cosmetics range was released I obviously had to get a few things from the collection. I purchased the Enchanted Dream Eyeshadow palette, the Matte Lipgloss in Martha Moo, and the Matte Nail Polish in Soft Pyjamas. Firstly, the eyeshadow palette is such good quality! I've been wearing this palette almost every day because the shades are so wearable for day and night looks. The colours are slightly pinky toned, the top two are more shimmery and the bottom two are more on the matte side. The pigmentation of these shadows is amazing, and the formula of the shadows is buttery and soft.

The Matte Lipgloss in Martha Moo is one of my favourite ever liquid lipsticks. The colour is a pinky-nude with super pigmentation. The glosses smell delicious like vanilla, and the packaging is stunning. This Matte Lipgloss has super staying power, it lasts all day and it is actually pretty tricky to remove at the end of the day!

The one product I was slightly let down by was the nail polish. The colour is a really lovely grey-toned purple which is great for Autumn. However, the consistency just isn't great. It applies really patchy and needs 3 coats really. After it was dry it chipped pretty much immediately and lasted a few days on my nails! Such a shame because I love the idea of the matte nail varnish and the colour is so pretty!

Another Product I have been using a lot lately is the Barry M Illuminating Strobe Cream in the shade Iced Bronze. I originally bought this to take on holiday with me as there isn't a lot left of my Benefit Watts Up Highlighter and I wanted a drugstore alternative. This is such a creamy highlighter and blends on top of foundation really well. The colour is pearly and it provides a nice glow to your cheeks without looking glittery. It's also super quick to use on the go!

A lip product I have been loving is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Athens. This is quite a light brown shade. As I've mentioned before I love the Soft Matte Lip Cream's, they're such good value for money and I have 5 of them now! The nude shades go with everything and always last such a long time. I absolutely love how they smell like cake as well!

The last product I have been using since I bought it on Sunday is the Mac Lip Pencil in Spice. I've wanted a lip liner to go with Mac's Honey Love since I got back from Florida but I hadn't been to a Mac store until Sunday! I love the Mac lip liners and find they prevent the bleeding of lipstick, stay in place all day and help make lipstick look so pristine.

Goals for September

September marks the start of the new school year. This month I'm going back to uni for my 3rd and final year of Adult Nursing. I find that setting goals helps me to stay focused so I thought I would share some with you guys!

Write a schedule and stick to it- I find keeping a schedule of what needs to be done on each day keeps me focused and on task. I always start writing these at the start of the academic year but they fizzle out after a while. I'm determined to stick to them this year!

Bake more- I think this goal is inspired by the Bake Off which has recently started. I love baking, I really don't know why I don't do it more! I find it a great way to relax and channel some creativity, and I really like sweet treats!

Stick to meditating every day and find more ways to control my anxiety- I recently completely lost control of my anxiety and am having regular anxiety attacks. I was prescribed some anti-depressants for it which help a bit, but I don't want to rely on them forever. I didn't find counselling much help and so I started meditating using the Calm app. I find this really helps calm me down when I'm feeling anxious and panicky. It also helps me sleep a bit better as well. I signed up to the monthly subscription which is pretty expensive but as it helps me it is so worth it! I would definitely recommend it!

Start building my Autumn wardrobe- I seem to be purchasing more summer clothes in the sales when I should really be starting to add to my Autumn wardrobe! I can't wait for burgundy pinafores, black booties and cute coats!

Start exercising more- I really lack motivation to exercise. I know I should, but most of the time I really can't be bothered! As exercising is a good way to release endorphins and improve your mood and health it's important to take some time out of your day to do some. I'm going to start encouraging family walks, introduce a new workout video into my life and start to go for a few run's a week. I've bought new work out clothing so there's no excuse ha ha!

August Favourites Time!

I can't believe how fast August has gone! I went away for 11 days to Orlando this month and that has to be my favourite thing of the whole month! Most of my favourites are things I used on holiday and I had lots of time to try them out.

My first favourite is the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap in mild. I bought a Clinique travel set to take on holiday with me and although I loved everything in there, this was a stand out for me. I have really sensitive skin at the moment and my skin reacts to a lot of products. Clinique is a brand that I find works really well with my sensitive skin and doesn't give me any reactions! I used this every morning while on holiday. It lathers up lovely and feels like it is really cleaning your face. The product is unscented and really gentle on skin. I now want to purchase the full size!

I've wanted the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade for ages now so when I saw a dupe in NYX for £5.50 I had to try it out. I got the Tinted Brow Pomade in the shade Espresso which matches my brows so well. I've been applying this with my Zoeva 322 Brow Line brush which I find works really well with the product. I line with the product and fill in with it as well and find it is super easy to do. It's my new favourite brow product!

Another favourite has been the Smashbox Mini Double Exposure palette. I picked this up to take away with me as there are four matte shades and four shimmery shades, and seeing as they are neutral shades I thought the looks would go with everything. I was so impressed with how pigmented the shades are and how well they blend. The palette is so thin and fitted well in my travel make up bag.

I loved using the Zoella Body Fondant on Holiday in the evenings. I couldn't wear it in the day time as I had to wear sun cream and keep reapplying that! Once the sun had gone in I loved putting this on in the evenings. It gives such a lovely bronzed glow to your skin and makes it look so healthy.
I also really love the smell of this product and how long lasting the scent is!

My lip favourite this month has been the Make up Revolution I Heart Makeup Lip Lava in the shade Forgiven. It's a liquid lipstick which is a light nude-brown shade. These are only £2.99 which is such good value for money. The product is SERIOUSLY  stay on. I have to double cleanse my lips at the end of the day to remove this bad boy! Once applied the product dries really quick and doesn't feel drying at all. The only down side is the applicator, I find it really hard to get a precise lip with the applicator that comes on this product!

My final favourite has been Jolly Rancher sweets. I bought a lot of sweets when I was in Orlando, American sweets are such a novelty! These ones are hard boiled sweets with serious flavour. I also really loved Mike Ike's and Life Saver sweeties. I purely love the Jolly Ranchers because of the blue raspberry one, which is amazing (heart eyed emoji).
