My New Favourite Outfit

Now the weather has finally got better I've been buying more summer clothes. I'm really liking pretty embroidered cream tops at the moment and have been buying quite a few as they go with everything! This top and skirt combo are from Miss Selfridge, who always sell the prettiest clothing! Annoyingly enough though both pieces are now in the Miss S sale, gutting!

P.s Apologies for the picture quality, I'm still learning and should have used my DLR for these!

July Glossybox

This months Glossybox was a good'n. These are the sort of products I love to receive! There are four full size products and one travel size product.

The Utan and Tone Nourishing Night Creme came in this months Glossybox. I've only used this once admittedly. The Creme is supposed to work as a night cream and a gradual tan for the face. The cream doesn't have a smell to it and when rubbed in makes my skin feel nice and soft. The formula is quite light and feels hydrating. I didn't really notice a difference in my skin tone the next morning but the product is a gradual tan so repetitive use I'm guessing would build the tan up,

The product I was most looking forward to was the Blank Canvas Cosmetics Flat Brush. I love trying out new brushes and I love hoarding them just because they look pretty on my dressing table! The bristles on this feel so soft and I have had no fallout. This brush blends foundation in really well and I also really love using it to apply blusher in a stippling motion to create a natural wash of colour to my cheeks.

Another product I received in the box was the Icona Milano mascara. The only way I can describe this mascara is that it 'does the job'. I wasn't wowed with the product, it doesn't do anything extraordinary. It lightly coats the lashes and separates them. One thing I will say though is that it isn't clumpy and does separate the lashes.

Another of my favourites from this month's Glossybox was the Hawaiian Tropic Lip Gloss in Island Berry. I love that this has an SPF of 25 as it's super important to wear SPF everywhere on show to the sun in summer! My lips got burnt a few weekends ago and it was not cool! The gloss smells amazing like berries, and it tastes amazing as well. The gloss isn't sticky and feels quite moisturising too. This has definitely become a handbag staple for me this summer!

The last product in the box was the Hairon De-tangling Brush. I much prefer this brush to the Tangle Teezer, The brush is a much better shape as it fits well in the palm of your hand and this provides a good grip. The brush is suitable for use on wet or dry hair and is such a good size that can easily fit in your handbag. The brush doesn't snag hair off and feels a lot more gentle when brushing than the Tangle Teezer.

I was pretty impressed with the box this month, definitely one of the better boxes I have received!

3 New L'Oreal Tries

L'Oreal has been my favourite drug store makeup brand for a while now, their products are of such high quality and never disappoint me. So many of their products are so similar to high end products, such as the YSL Touche Eclat foundation and the L'oreal True Match foundation which are almost identical products in different bottles.

The first thing I purchased was the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Pure Light Primer Base. This primer paired with the L'Oreal True Match foundation literally gives you the most radiant and glowy looking face. The product comes out of the pump looking bright white with serious shimmer but blended in it doesn't look white, and leaves a subtle glow. It's also really moisturising and my foundation blends into it really well. This was £9.99 which is slightly pricey considering the tube is quite thin but you're paying for the quality with this one!

Another product I picked up was a L'Oreal Paris Le Blush in the shade Rosewood, which was £6.99. I love the packaging of this product, it has a separate compartment at the bottom with a little brush and a mirror, which is super handy for on-the-go make up. The shade is a brown toned pink with a slight pink shimmer to it. This is a really pigmented blush so you only need a little, and it blends really well. I feel like this colour would be great for Autumn.

The last L'Oreal product I bought and have been trying out is the Brow Artist Genius Kit. I've been using my trusty MUA Pro Brow Eyebrow Kit for a few years now and thought it was time I ventured out and tried a new brow kit. I love how the kit comes with little instructions, a mirror, a tinted brow gel, powder, tweezers and a double ended brush and spoolie. Super handy for on the go, and it's so compact! The brow shade is very close to mine, closer than my MUA kit is. The brush provided actually does a really good job at enhancing my brow line and filling my brows in. One thing I would say is that the brow gel isn't very strong and I've been going over it with the Maybelline Brow Drama gel to keep them in place. This is a seriously good little kit though for £9.99!
