New YouTuber Products

It seems that youtubers are all coming out with products all at once! I decided to pick a few things up from each range to see if they were any good or not!

I'll start with the new Tanya Burr cosmetics range. Since the old range they have re-designed the packaging of the old products, I had 3 of the lip glosses from the last collection which they've carried forward and I think they've changed the formula of them! The smell is also different.
I picked up one of the lip glosses in 'I Found Nemo' I've wanted this shade since I heard Zoella mention how much she loved it ages ago! It's a lovely orange toned pink with tiny flecks of gold shimmer. It also smells like watermelon! However, I do think I preferred the old smell of the lip glosses which smelled like strawberries! The formula isn't too sticky and is very shiny.

I also picked up a nail varnish, I never actually got any of these from the old line! I picked up the shade 'New York Night' which is a lovely deep purple that looks almost black! The polish went on really nicely and after two coats was enough. It's also really shiny! One of my new favourite shades of nail polish!

My favourite thing that I picked up from the line was the 'Hollywood eye palette'. Its a gold toned eye shadow palette with a little mirror inside. The shades in the palette are lovely. My favourite is definitely 'Enchantment'. It's such a nice palette to do a gold smokey eye with, and i love the names of each of the shades! The only shade I wasn't majorly impressed with was 'Gold Coin', this is a light gold but it isn't very pigmented and you have to build it up quite a lot. Another negative is that there's quite a lot of fallout and I ended up with quite a lot of glitter over my nose and cheekbones! Overall I think this is a lovely palette though, and a bargain for £6!

The packaging of the new Tanya Burr Cosmetics range is just stunning! Who doesn't love gold make up packaging? The products are also all really affordable ranging from £4.99 - £7.00 in Superdrug.

The next range I picked a few things up from was the new Zoella range. I picked up the body scrub, lip balm and body lotion.
I am in love with the body lotion! It is definitely one of my favourites this month. Firstly, the smell is amazing, it's such a mature fruity smell. It's so moisturising and sinks into my skin very quickly. It contains moisturising pink beads that burst as you rub the moisturiser into your skin, which I also thought was a nice touch.

I picked up the lip balm as it was something her old range didn't have. It's a lovely tinted lip balm and it is so pigmented! It feels really moisturising on my lips and the colour lasts quite a long time!

Lastly,I picked up the body scrub. This also has the same scent as the body lotion. This body scrub is a great summer scrub, it does what it's supposed to do without being too harsh on the skin. It's packed with cocoa butter and oils to moisturise and I can say that it is really, really moisturising!

I was very impressed with the bits I picked up, good job Zoella :-). The range is priced from £3.00-£8.00. Superdrug are also doing £1.00 off everything in the range at the moment too!

Lastly, I picked up a pair of Fleur's new lashes. I really love Eylure eyelashes, they are by far my favourite brand for lashes. The only time I ever wear fake eye lashes is on a night out, just because i'm too lazy to put them on for day to day use! So I picked up the 'Fleur & Fabulous' ones as these were the ones with the most volume.

They were really easy to apply and blended nicely with my natural lashes. They could possibly be my new favourite lashes because these have the right amount of length and volume! I may have to go up and pick a few more from the range now!

Lush Haul

A few days ago I decided to go into Lush, I originally only went in for some new bath bombs as I had completely run out! With me unfortunately that's never the case though, sigh.
I bought 2 things for the bath, 4 facial products, a scrub, and a shampoo.

The scrub I bought is the Ocean Salt scrub. This is a facial and body scrub. It says on the packaging 'Lashings of fine sea salt to scrub and clean, organic limes to brighten and avocado butter to soften your skin'. I've been in need of a good scrub since my last soap and glory one ran out. I much prefer salt scrubs to sugar scrubs as I find they are more harsh and work better on my skin. The scrub smells fresh and a bit fruity. Due to the avocado butter it also left my skin feeling really soft and smooth.

I have been wanting to try the 'Big' shampoo from lush for a while now after hearing so many things about it. I love wavy beachy hair and the texture of it, and I can absolutely say this product does it all. On the packaging it says 'Sea salt shampoo to give your hair lift and volume, make it easy to get a comb through and smell great for hours'. In the tub this shampoo does smell a little strange but after I washed my hair with it my hair smelled lovely. I was a bit worried that this would dry my hair out because of all the salt, but it really didn't. My hair was soft and shiny after using this and it felt more textured and wavy. This is definitely my new favourite shampoo!

For my face I picked up the Tea Tree Water, which is a facial toner. It says 'Tea tree is a wonder antibacterial, antiseptic and antimicrobial ingredient for anyone with oily or spot prone skin'. I really wanted to try a new toner. I use the Pixi Glow Tonic before bed but I felt I needed a non exfoliating toner for the morning. I asked the sales assistant in the shop and she recommended this one to me. I've only used it a few times so far so I can't really say that it's made a huge difference just yet. However, it hasn't broken me out and it does feel really lovely on the skin. I use about 3 sprays onto a cotton pad and wipe it all over.

Next, I purchased Grease Lightening. This is a spot treatment for just dabbing on individual spots. I'm always up for trying a new spot treatment! I'm currently using the Body Shop's tea tree gel but I've almost used it all up! This one is the same sort of thing, but there is a lot more product! The packaging says 'Dab on this super effective tea tree and witch hazel gel to zap zits before they show themselves. I've used this a few times and I would definitely say it gets rid of spots pretty quick and reduced redness.

Since running out of my Lush Cupcake face mask I've needed a new one, I needed one that specifically targets outbreaks as I already have a clay mask and a hydrating mask. I picked up the Mask of Magnaminty, which claims to fight eruptions and outbreaks. This is a mask for face and body, which I thought was pretty good!  I wouldn't use this mask on a regular basis, only when I had outbreaks as it's a tiny bit drying. It's got a lovely minty scent and this particular mask you don't have to keep in the fridge like the rest.

As I was buying a face mask, the sales assistant suggested I try the Tea Tree Toner Tabs. She suggested popping one into a hot bowl of water and steaming my face before I used the face mask. This is to open your pores so that the face mask can work to its full potential. I haven't used these yet but I love the concept of them and can't wait to try them out!

Lastly, I bought a Dragon's Egg bath bomb and a Creamy Candy bubble bar. The Dragon's egg is my favourite Lush product ever, it smells absolutely amazing! It smells really sweet and fruity, like lemon sherbet. It releases orange colours, then popping candy and then glitter, it's great!
Creamy candy is another one of my favourite's. It smells sweet like candy floss, and after I've used this my skin feels so soft! I also love the amount of bubbles this creates.
What are your lush favourites? :-)

Some Holiday Outifits

Last week I went on  holiday to the Isle of Wight for a week, the weather was so good for the first few days and then it was overcast with showers for the rest! I thought i'd show you a few of the outfits I wore.
On the first day the weather was so warm and sunny so I decided to go for something light and fun. The dinosaur skirt is from Lashes of London here, originally I bought this skirt from ASOS a few months back, but they've stopped stocking them now. My cami, sunglasses and satchel are all from Primark and they were all super cheap! My t-bar sandals are from Topshop a few months ago, similar ones are here.

On the next day we went to the needles, and on a scary chair lift there! The weather was warm but we did so much walking so I had to wear something practical! I am totally obsessed with bell sleeves at the moment they're so light and comfy, this top is from Forever 21 and can be found here. Every time I pop into Forever 21 I seem to always buy a top, they always have such pretty white tops. My loafers are also from Forever 21, they're so good for injecting colour into an outfit! they can be found here. My disco pants are from boohoo, and my shoulder bag is from Topshop here.

From the rest of the week on the weather was horrible! It was still pretty warm but it was very overcast and dreary. On this day we went to a place called 'Blackgang Chine', if you ever get to go to the Isle of Wight I would definitely recommend going, it's a sort of amusement park. I used to go here when I was little and I still love it. My kimono is from New Look here,it's such a nice cover up. My halterneck top is also from New Look  and so are my sandals. My high waited jeans are from Topshop here

On our last day we decided to go to have a look round a cute little village called Godshill and go for afternoon tea. Afternoon tea has turned into one of my favourite things in the world, i'm such a cake and scone enthusiast ha ha. The dress I wore this day is a gorgeous lace bell sleeved dress, it's one of my favourite pieces of clothing at the moment! It's from Topshop here. My shoulder bag is the same as before and so are my sandals. I had such a nice time away, i'm sad to be home now!

I hope you guys like this type of post :-).

July Favourites

I think this has been the fastest year of the month to go by so far! It feels like I've blinked and July has passed.
Firstly, this month I have been LOVING the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I'd never used a sponge for applying my foundation or concealer before and I thought it was about time I saw what the hype was about. I've seen everyone rave about the beauty blender but I wanted to try something a bit cheaper first to see if I got on with it. This sponge is brilliant, it blends foundation so well into my skin and it feels like i need less foundation when I use the sponge. It is particularly amazing for blending concealer with the pointy end onto blemishes. I've heard you can use this sponge wet to apply foundation and that this works better as the foundation doesn't absorb into the sponge as much, so I have yet to try that!

Next I have really been liking the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Buttercream. The smell of this product is divine (heart eye emoji), it has a really sweet lime fragrance with hints of kiwi. This is such a nice luxurious feeling moisturiser, it's thick and creamy and leaves your skin feeling so soft. The only negative to this product is that it takes quite a long time to sink in which isn't great if you don't have time to wait around for it to sink in before getting dressed. It's by far the nicest moisturiser I've ever used though.

My favourite lipstick of the month has to be MAC's Velvet Teddy. I've been wearing this so much this month paired with MAC's Whirl lip liner, This is one of MAC's matte lipsticks and unlike my MAC Ruby Woo this one isn't drying at all! The shades go so well with a bronzey eye and make my lips look so much fuller. Also, this lipstick on top of Whirl seems to stay on for such a long time even through eating and drinking! I highly recommend it!

I've seen a lot of people on Instagram using pretty colouring books as a way of de-stressing. I stress about everything all the time so I thought I would give this a go to see if it helped. I got my Enchanted Forest book from Amazon here. This book has got such amazing illustrations and I found it really does help you relax, so if you have trouble with stress there are loads of these books around to buy!

My last favourite is the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray. This spray adds so much texture and volume to my hair and leaves it beachy and wavy. I find that it works best for me if i apply it to wet hair and scrunch it up a bit and then blow dry it. You can use it on dry hair but I have to use quite a lot of the product before I feel that it starts to create the waves. This spray can dry your hair out quite a lot if you over use it, and I probably wouldn't recommend it to people who already have dry ends. However, this spray works really well for my hair and I can't wait to take this on holiday with me!
