June Glossybox

I'm a little late with writing this post but I've had some time to properly test the products out now. This months Glossybox came with four full sized products and two sample products which I was super happy about.

The only make up product in this months box was the Emite Make Up Lip and Cheek Tint. It's in a berry shade and applies really nicely with the flat doe foot applicator. The product applies quite patchy to begin with but when it dries it doesn't appear patchy looking at all. This actually gives a really strong tint and lasts literally all day, I can never get this completely removed at the end of the day! I haven't tried this as a cheek tint as I always find this sort of product never blends very well on my cheeks!

The product I was most intrigued about from this box was the Spa To You Konjac Sponge. The sponge is made from the Konjac plant which is known for it's ability to hold water. When I first got this sponge out of it's packaging it felt very slimy and I wasn't sure I would like it at all. The sponge smelt lovely and clean like fresh sheets, so gave it a few squeezes under the hot water tap and gave it a go. I really like this sponge, it doesn't feel harsh on the face and while it felt like it exfoliated my face, it also felt really hydrating on my skin. My skin felt lovely and soft after using this and it's now become a staple in my morning routine.

The Origins GinZing Moisturiser made an appearance in this box. I have the Origins GinZing eye cream which I really love for de-puffing and adding some glow to the eye area. The GinZing moisturiser has a much stronger fruity scent in comparison to the eye cream. It smells lovely and citrus-like. This eye cream is very similar to the Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser, in the fact it applies like a gel and is a perfect product for the summer months due to it being so light. The moisturiser sinks in really quickly and gives my skin a boost with how it looks. I love this moisturiser for mornings and definitely want to purchase the full size sample now.

Another product in the box was the Ladival Sun Protection Spray SPF 15. Now if you ask me SPF 15 is quite low and I always purchase a suncream with a much higher SPF as I'm quite pale, so I won't be taking this on holiday with me. However, this would be a handy sun cream for when you aren't spending a lot of time in the sun and you're on the go. I like this sun cream as it doesn't look greasy at all like other sun creams, it just looks like you have a slight glow. It has the regular sun cream smell and rubs in nicely. I also like the spray nozzle, which is so much more convenient to use than the squeezy ones. It's also water resistant which is an extra bonus!

Another sun related skincare product is the De Bruyere After Sun Lotion. This is a soothing product for when you have sunburn to hydrate and nourish the skin. What I didn't know about after sun lotion is that it actually prolongs a natural tan, so I will be religiously applying this when I return from my holiday next month!  It smells like a pina colada, and is such a creamy product!

The last product in the box was the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor Deep Conditioner. I used all of this sample up because I absolutely loved the product. It is such a thick conditioner and smells absolutely amazing. 3 minutes feels like a long time while you're waiting in the shower but I usually do my shaving and scrubbing while this is sinking into my hair. It washes out lovely and when dry leaves my hair looking so glossy and feeling really hydrated and soft, a really lovely product.

It's not the best Glossybox I have received but I can't really grumble with 4 full sized products! I will definitely be purchasing the Origins GinZing Moisturiser in the future!

Real Techniques Bold Metal Brushes Dupe's

I have been wanting the whole Real Technique's Bold Metal Collection since it was released. I only own the 300 brush which is the rose gold tapered end brush, as they are so expensive and I can't really justify spending £25 on one make-up brush! I'm always checking the bestsellers beauty section on Amazon and these brushes appeared! Firstly, they look EXACTLY the same as the Real Techniques one's and for only £5 for the whole set (currently reduced to £3) I thought I would try them out.

The delivery was super quick and they came within three days. I've tested each of these brushes out and although they probably won't be as of good quality as the Real Techniques ones they still do a really good job and look super pretty. I have had no fall out of bristles so far, and none look like that will happen any time soon. They all feel so so soft on the skin and I really enjoy using them.

I used the largest gold one to apply my foundation with, I've always wanted to try applying foundation with a really large fluffy brush. This really did blend the product in so nicely and the end finish looked no different to what it would be like if I had used any of my branded brushes.

I used the smaller gold one for applying concealer around my nose and under my eyes. The tapered end really helps with getting into the creases around the nose area and again it blended the product in really well the same as any of my other brushes would.

The tapered rose gold brush I used to apply blush to the apples of my cheeks, I probably won't use this brush for blusher again as because I don't think it's big enough to apply blusher with and it tended to apply the pigment to one area and not blend very well. This is my fault as I have the Real Techniques original one of this which I usually use for bronzer so I thought I would try it for something new! Won't do that again.

The rose gold coloured contour brush I used to apply the contour to my cheek bones with. I had to sort of pinch the end a little bit as I like my contour to be quite precise and the bristles aren't as together as they could be (if that makes sense). It applied nicely with this technique and gave me the look I wanted.

My second favourite I used was the silver eyeshadow brush. I love getting eyeshadow brushes that hold all the pigment on top and blend it in well, this one did just that! It didn't feel scratchy at all when I blended the eyeshadow on my eyelid and held onto the pigment until applied to my eyelid.
The silver crease brush fitted nicely into my crease and really blended my eyeshadow out nicely, it was just as good as the eyeshadow brush.

The only brush I really didn't like was the liner brush. I could probably try this as a brow brush and I might like it more if I tried that. However, when trying to apply the gel liner it just wasn't precise enough on my lid. The bristles just aren't close enough together which gives a not very neat liner look. I also found that this one didnt really pick up the product very well.

Overall, these are an amazing set of brushes and for £5 an absolute bargain! If you fancy testing these out the link is here.

Zoella Beauty Sweet Inspirations

It's that time of year when Zoe Sugg releases another beauty range. I'm a massive fan of her beauty ranges, they're affordable, good quality and always smell so good! The last range was lovely, my favourite product was the body scrub as it was such a good quality scrub for the price!

The Sweet Inspirations range is scented like a french patisserie, with Macaron being the main scent. The packaging of everything is really lovely. I love the baby pink, blue and green colours used, the gold 'Z', and the stripes and frills used, it makes the packing look lovely on display.

The first product I purchased was the Double Creme Body Cream. This was £5.00. The tube looks so pretty. The product comes out of the tube plain white. It sinks in really quickly and you really don't need that much product. The smell is sweet but not too sweet, it's a mature sweet smell and I can mostly smell vanilla and Macaron in the scent.

My favourite thing I purchased from the range is the Body Fondant Shimmer Balm. This was £10. It comes with the cutest applicator sponge that makes applying it so easy. The balm provides a lovely luminous glow that looks slightly bronzed. The scent of this is incredible, after applying this to my legs and arms I can still smell the scent on myself hours later. It's moisturising as well as providing a luminous glow. It's like a highlighter for your body!

The best packaged product by far is the Sugar Dip Bath Salts. These were £6.00. I love the pyramid shape and how there's a separate bag of the granules inside. I also love how there is a sticker to use to reseal the bag after use! This will keep them fresh and help avoid spillage (which was likely to happen with me). These are pretty strongly scented. Almost too strong. This was the first product I opened and smelt and I really didn't like it at first. After putting some in my bath they smell so much better. A little goes along way with these, and they really do make your bath scented.

This is by far my favourite range of Zoe's. I love everything about it, the scent, products and packaging! I will definitely be buying more from the range!

May Favourites

My first favourite this month has been The Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Buttercream. I've been on placement in the hospital this month, and I've been so busy that I have barely had time to moisturise my body. However, I've found this moisturiser to be so effective and last a really long time. It also smells amazing- like sugary lime, and this buttercream always reminds me of summer. It's so thick and creamy and a little goes a long way.

I have been loving the Kiehl's Creamy Eye treatment with Avocado. I won't go on about this as I've already discussed it in a post here. But it is so so worth the money! Amazing for hydrating and de-puffing tired eyes.

Another favourite of mine this month has been the YSL Babydoll mascara. I'm majorly late to this bandwagon and now I know what I've been missing out on! This one is pretty similar to the Benefit Rollerlash mascara. It gives a lovely voluminous effect and really adds definition, which is what I look for in a mascara! The packaging is also super pretty and looks great in my collection.

I've been really loving the Tony & Guy Casual Rough Texturiser Spray. I've been washing my hair 5 times a week at the moment after my shifts at the hospital, which then makes it really difficult to put into a bun the next day as the hair is so soft, thin and stripped of texture. By spraying this in my hair it adds so much volume and texture and makes putting my hair up and keeping it in place so much easier. Would definitely recommend using this for up-do's!

Another make-up product I have been loving is the Nars Blush in Madly. This has been my go-to blush for the past month. I love the peachy bronze colour it gives to my cheeks and it blends in so well with bronzer and contour. This blends so incredibly well and gives the right amount of pigmentation. I just feel like this blush goes with every make-up look!

My favourite book this month has been Night Owls by Jenn Bennet. It's about a girl who meets a boy on a night bus. Jack has several deep secrets revealed throughout the book, and he isn't who she thinks he is. I was gripped the whole way through and found it hard to put the book down. I'm a sucker for a good love story, and Jack sounds so dreamy! Would definitely recommend as a holiday read!

My favourite series this month has been Dexter. I'm hooked! It's literally so good. It's about a blood spatter analyst who works for a police force, but he also has a need to murder people. Dexter's foster father taught him a code of only murdering people who deserve to be killed to satisfy his need. I love crime drama series like this, it's so gripping and I love his character.
